Sometimes the clean lines and geometry of a piece start to drive me nuts. I know the orderliness is my attempt to control. The layers under this painting were very controlled. I wanted to break out of that. I wanted to feel energy and vibrancy and movement. This is my flow and my release. I love it when life presents opportunities to let go and flow – in my studio and out.
