Art Trails Weekend 1
Sonoma County Art Trails Voted Best Outdoor Art Event of 2024!
I’m at Studio #32. 5776 La Sierra Drive, Santa Rosa, CA 95409
Sonoma County Art Trails is in its 39th year of bringing artists and art lovers together in the place where the magic happens. Art Trails is a free county-wide art tour featuring over a hundred local artists.
In 1985, a group of artists started Sonoma County’s first open studio program. This was a chance to meet some of the County’s finest artists and discover how they create their art, while enjoying the beautiful fall landscape. In 2014, the program was officially adopted by the Sebastopol Center for the Arts (SebArts).
While visitors get to enjoy the art for two weekends each fall, the artists spend much of the year preparing for the event. The Art Trails Steering Committee is made up of artists who meet monthly to discuss the logistics and processes that make the program a well-oiled machine year after year. The artists in the program volunteer their time helping the program by doing jobs like creating and distributing the catalog, putting up signs across the county, setting up four preview exhibitions, mentoring new artists, and giving back to the community through various collaborations with Artstart, a local non-profit dedicated to empowering teens to explore their creativity through art.
Our artists rely on art enthusiasts throughout the region to visit, explore and support artists directly, helping to build a vibrant local art community.

“Haven”
Haven: Place of Comfort & Contemplation
August 15 – September 22, 2024
In today’s fast-paced, often chaotic world, we find ourselves longing for spaces where we can feel comfort, engage in thoughtful contemplation, and experience a sense of security. Sanctuaries come in many forms, whether they be physical places, metaphysical states of mind, or places of human connection.
In this show, artists are exhibiting their version of Haven, beckoning viewers into these sanctuaries, and revealing the profound impact of these spaces through various mediums and techniques.
I’m excited to have been juried in this show. It is a wonderful collection of works. Let me know if you’d like me to meet you there to take a look around.
